A Gift for the Babies
Well, here they are, my latest little purchases for the babies at the Ymit(Hope) Baby House in Aktobe/Aqtobe. Aren't they adorable! My good friend Marla brought me home the sweetest little cream and purple knitted stocking cap last week, and when I saw it, I knew that I had to buy more to give to the baby house. A little old lady makes these, some days she gets together with her friends and they knit together making stocking caps and chatting, aren't they wonderful! I just love the army green hat with the brown and cream crazy fly away threads, that is my favorite one! And would you believe that she only charges $2.00 per hat, sign me up............for 15! :)

:)
Christy....that is the perfect little gift!! Susan is right, they will get a lot of use out of them. I can just see it now, all those babies having their photos taken with these cute little caps.

What fabulous hats, i want one in my size. Those babies are going to love them. What a great gift to bring. Make sure you do get a picture with all the kazacuties in their hats.

Christy, Very cute hats! I was thinking about little backpacks with crayons, etc. in them... not as practical as your idea though.
I also wanted to address your post on the Kaz yahoo group about the traveling-to-select option. We are also doing this and did quite a bit of research on the topic before deciding - as well as talking with other LMI families who traveled to select (Anne assured us that no one with LMI has returned home without a child because they couldn't find one that met their preferences). I can give you more information on what we found out if you want to email me at altanasky@yahoo.com. Just keep in mind that nearly all of the families that have done this have had no major issues. And we're still comfortable with our decision. So - no need to freak out! Some of these yahoo groups can do that to you as you don't get all of the details.
Hi Christy,
Too adorable! You may have started a cottage industry for Kaz babies ;-)
I agree with Kelly, too. I saw your post on yahoo and I agree, I freak out when I see those horror stories. I don't want to be spoon fed bright sunshine, but I don't want to be unnecessarily frightened. I think we are good with LMI - that's why I chose them. I'll tell you later about a couple of others I researched, and the "bait and switch" photo listings I received. Not knowing at the time they couldn't do that. LMI seems on the up and up. Now where the hell is your LOI?!
Christy,
I LOVE the hats!!!! How about if you Mom puts in an order for 10 more as a gift from Grandma? Let me know what you think.
