This is a great idea; this is the home recipe for Pedialyte (used to counteract dehydration): One level teaspoon of sugar, a pinch of salt in 8 ounces (1 Cup) of water. Pack a few ounces of sugar, and salt, carry a teaspoon and a measuring cup. (Yep, mine are now packed and labeled.) If your baby becomes dehydrated, this mixture will be a lifesaver. :)
This recipe was in my 'Travel Book' sent to me by my agency, LMI. :)

Izaak, Elijah & Ty 'Bear'

Cousins (Izaak wants to name my daughter (his cousin) Isabella, Sant (for 'Santa') or Hershey (his friend's dog's name.) Hmmmm I told him that if we name her 'Hershey,' that would mean that we get to give her a lot of kisses.
Kolter Matthius Simon

Littlest Cousin......possibly. Kolter may indeed be the same age as his little girl cousin in Kaz. :)

Wow where did you get the recipe? I searched everywhere for Pedialyte powder form, and while they once created it, it is no longer available. Thank you! Suz
I searched high and low too! In fact, I posted a request for info on the Semey Yahoo group and got TONS of answers...so this info is helpful. Our agency is LMI as well - but we didn't see it anywhere in our travel book. Thanks for sharing! Wondering if they wouldn't have the salt and sugar over there anyways - that way we wouldn't have to pack it. Wouldn't they have that stuff there? I heard one person say that they do. Just a thought. (not that salt and sugar take up lots of space...)
I'm curious.. is dehydration a big issue over there or traveling? (I obviously haven't a clue adn haven't traveled with infants before.)
