A Quick Love Letter

I just wanted to let everyone know that I love Fed-Ex and the Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in New York!!! That was a mouth full! :) I was going to initially post that I love that you can track packages with Fed-Ex, but then I went on their website to actually track my Visa application and this is what I found:

Visa Application picked up in MN at 3:59 pm 12/11/07
Visa Application arrived in NY at 12:44 pm 12/12/07
Actual Visa sent back to me from the Consulate in NY at 6:28 pm 12/12/07
Estimated Delivery to me back in MN 12/13/07 around noon

Are you kidding me!?**? I did pay for overnight service, but that is service I tell you! The Consulate Rocks! Thank you!!!!

Well that is my post for tonight, back to packing. :)

Very cool!! It's amazing that there is at least one thing about our adoption process that is very quick.

Yep, you're foxy....I just had to say that :) I forgot to mention in my last post that you had a very nice photo for your Visa. Then all this talk about your foxiness from the other blog moms -I just had to have my 2 cents too!

Anyway....still very happy for you!!

You actually have packing to do?! I thought you were packed at least 3 months ago! ;) Unbelievably fast turnaround at the consulate. Fabulous. Having a glass of wine tonight to celebrate your journey! Super exciting!

I told you I traveled in 5 days. It is very quick once that LOI arrives. Finish packing and get some sleep. You will need the rest.

FINALLY!!!!!!!! Things that actually happen fast in International Adoption! Hallelujah!!! So, is it like when you have been sick and in bed for a time and then you finally get up and try to walk around and you are all woozy from having not moved around much for a while? That is .... going from the interminable waiting to full throttle in 1.2 seconds flat?

Hi Christy: You are probably running around like a chicken with your head cut off...but i just found a blog of the Tupper Family who is headin back from Aktobe now with their child. I don't know if you are aware of this one so here is the blog address:

Love the blog, Christy! Hope your flights go smoothly and that you don't have to fly SCAT airlines. :-) One little tip for the flight...take a couple of Benedryl or Tynlenol PM once you get situated on the plane(and bring a small supply for once you are in country). The trip to Aktobe is quite long and it'll be hard to sleep because of your excitement. So, the sleep aidd will help you get some rest before you arrive.

Blessings!

Pamela

You'll know that you've really gone over the top when you plant one on the lips of the postman that delivered the LOI! You're almost there.....

That's awesome, and great timing for us because most of the blogs I've been following have families either not traveling yet or traveling home so I'm glad to have one from YOU in KAZ!!!!

Cousins (Izaak wants to name my daughter (his cousin) Isabella, Sant (for 'Santa') or Hershey (his friend's dog's name.) Hmmmm I told him that if we name her 'Hershey,' that would mean that we get to give her a lot of kisses.
